So You Want To Get The Media's Attention Huh?

So You Want To Get The Media's Attention Huh?

First off, let me say that we're dealing with a huge and very organized group, a giant if you will. That being said, the easiest way to get a giants attention is to step on its toes. By toes, I mean the franchises. Big Media is built with many smaller franchises owned by Individual people such as ourselves. The only way to reach the big guys is through them one an inch at a time!

Think about this - If everyone bombarded the local (not national) TV stations in a targeted, organized way with phone calls and emails all day long, Day after Day, it would accomplish two things.

First, it would get Ron Paul on all the local stations because the local stations care more about what the people want. On top of that, because they are small and might not be able to handle the traffic for long, it would create a buzz on the main stream news as well because they would be talking about us calling all the local stations for Paul. It's a Win, Win Situation! But I must stress, It has to be organized properly to work.

For the stations that don't comply with the calls and emails, we should start sending them boxes of Styrofoam Peanuts with a message about Paul or something to there addresses everyday until they do. That's how the fans of Jericho stopped the show from being canceled. (Story)

The idea came from an anecdote on the show about an American General sending a note to the Nazis - NUTS! (Which stood for Not Understand Term Surrender.)

CBS came out publicly and said we got the message people, Please stop sending the peanuts! It was a unique way to tell us you don't want the show canceled and we heard you loud and clear!

It was the first time the people used this unique way to speak to a corporation ... and won. If you want Ron Paul to win, then it's tactics like these that we're gonna have to use.

This is one way the rest of the folks will definitely hear about Ron Paul from We The People! We need to reach the states we have left and start there. I would be happy to set up the necessary forums on the website so we could organize them like events. We could coordinate our efforts and make this big. We do have a voice. We just need to start talking to them in a way they'll listen.

Just think how funny it would be watching their building filling up with peanuts every day from every state. What do we do with all these damn peanuts? Quick, Start talking about Paul, Tell the people, We surrender, quit sending us the damn peanuts! It would get a lot of attention!

It would also get other, rival stations to talk about what's happening to the other stations in the area. It would create quite a buzz for Ron Paul and his passionate supporters.

Now, the question is, will we step on a few toes to get our point across?

Please let me know what you all think

"People don't plan to fail, they just fail to plan"

I love it! I was a web

I love it!

I was a web designer prior to enlisting into the Army and would love to help set up a web site for this idea. Unfortunately I just dumped all of my money into my trip home from overseas. If someone is willing to put up the small amount of money to buy a domain name and hosting (about $15.00) I will design and publish the web site.

Contact me at brettanthonydusek@hotmail.com if anyone is willing to help out. This idea will be very easy to market as I think everyone shares the sentiments that the media is nuts and I believe most Ron Paul supporters would jump at the chance to annoy the media any way they can.

Someone contact me.

The problem with that, imho,

The problem with that, imho, is that it dilutes the effect of it - tons of peanuts.

If you mail to Fox corporate headquarters, the message will spread down their totem pole quickly...

Just my opinion, though! I love to hear ideas.

Operation Fox News [is] NUTS

Operation Fox News [is] NUTS is a go, then?

We should pick an address and send. Maybe someone could contact someone behind the Jericho idea?

Here's some more info on the original campaign versus CBS...

This is a great idea!

This is a great idea! However, we need to keep in mind that the media can also twist this into a very negative thing, if they have the brains to do it. But for the rest, I say lets go!
